A day in the life of Ethan

I had a friend ask me what I do all day while the kids are at school.  I tried to think of anything spectacular that is happening or mountains I am moving and nothing came to mind.  I finally realized what takes up the majority of my time, and I decided to document it.  These pictures (no joke) were taken for an hour yesterday afternoon and last night and an hour this morning.  I didn't follow Ethan around but when I heard the sound of silence, I knew I should go see what he was up to and bring the camera.  This is Ethan........unplugged.  If you want to know what I do all day, just look at these pictures.
Big E loves to take cords and wrap them around him - especially his neck.  NOT safe or cool.

The shoe bins are a crowd favorite - especially for Ethan.  He loves to open every drawer and pull the shoes out.

Oh, now he found a blue bag to wrap around his neck.

He decided to take a minute to tickle the ivories.

My bathroom cupboard.

What is this I see?  Oh, a stray sock from daddy's drawer.  This can only mean one thing - Ethan has attacked dad's sock drawer.

Yummy.  Ethan loves to eat crumbs off the floor that are ready to be sucked up by the vac pan.

Ethan loves to take books off the shelf (with a sport's bottle from the kitchen in view).

And back to the shoe bin.  I did have them all cleaned up once upon a time.

Oh, a lanyard tied around your neck.  Really not safe.  What does this mean?  Big E probably attacked daddy's office.

Yep, he did just that.  I see evidence of Ethan: a book and papers on the floor.

Ethan loves to step on and stop the vacuum.  This makes it nearly impossible to vacuum when he is awake.  But, I don't want to vacuum when he is asleep, either.  So, mission impossible.

After cleaning up his mess in another room, I came back to the kitchen to find my raided spice rack, and Tupperware cupboard and drawer.

Where did he find a water bottle and cowboy hats?

I heard a door slam and I went to check it out.  Ethan can now open all of our doors, so he headed to the garage to find more of daddy's shoes.

More shoes (after the second clean up) and a drink of water.

You may not be able to tell in this picture, but he is now throwing a green ball at my head.

Yep, more shoes.

And the water bottle cupboard is invaded again.

And again.

Oh, he discovered the girl's bathroom drawer and cupboard.  He strung the girl's headbands throughout the house.

A spilled smoothie cup.

The girl's bathroom.

I know you have been here, Ethan.

Food plate on the floor and a blankie - a dead giveaway.

Complete destruction.

What is in your hands now?  My iphone case.  That can only mean one thing - he found my bedside table.

Ethan practicing to be a garbage collector.

Yep, he found my bedside drawer.

Dad's sock drawer and laundry basket invasion.

I am mother of the year.  I don't know what is worse:  Ethan sticking a cord in the outlet or that I took a picture of it first.

Now he found the girl's D.S. cases.

Here is the reaction when I took the dangerous cord away.  I need a nap.  :)
